CiphSafe 1.2.1 (Freeware) password manager

I was using the back of a paper CD case to scrawl down passwords for the Mac. On the Windows side I use my Pocket PC for user/pass so I needed a good Mac solution. I did some searching through VersionTracker and came up with this:
CiphSafe 1.2.1 - Simple-to-use application to store passwords or other notes securely. Encrypts with 320 bit Blowfish, includes random password generation, and a very clean interface.

Apple’s “Keychain Access” program does a good job of managing passwords ( “/Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access” ). In Tiger, the interface is much more organized and you can use spotlight technology with the application to find passwords. It manages all your web passwords and encryption certificates automatically, but you can also manually enter passwords and notes. Everything is encrypted.
Is there a reason you chose a third party tool rather than using Keychain, which ships with the OS?

Hi Adam - I have been using the keychain access for .Mac and managing some web logins automatically. I’m used a third party solution because I didn’t realize I could add my own notes and other things. I’m guessing that spotlight will work with the third party solution. I’ll have to investigate the keychain for manually adding web logins and other information (sofware serial # too?)
